Is toilet roll made from Bamboo really Eco Friendly ?

If you think where in the world that Bamboo grows then shipping it approx 5000 miles from China doesn't seem as Eco Friendly as the TV adverts would have you believe !

What is the alternative?

We have many paper producers in the UK and Europe with access to either Forest Stewardship Council approved woodlands, locally recycled paper pulp or (as in France) access to drinks cartons (such as Tetrapak) which are routinely collected and recycled there. Even Bagasse, a by product of Sugar Cane production can be considered more environmentally friendly and the very new Miscanthus Grasses being produced in Europe for paper production.

So before you believe what the marketing companies want you to assume - have a think !

There is alot of green washing taking place !
